Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify and define different types of shock.
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand cardiac physiology as it pertains to shock and resuscitation, including oxygen delivery, oxygen extraction, cardiac output/index.
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify endpoints of resuscitation, methods for hemodynamic monitoring and define response based on the end points of resuscitation.
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify and utilize specific strategies in resuscitation of hemorrhagic shock patients.
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify and utilize specific strategies in evaluation, monitoring and resuscitation of septic shock patients.
