Krista Terracina, MD, FACS, is an Assistant Professor, University of Florida. She attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport and completed her residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. During her residency, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in cancer biology at the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond and became administrative chief resident. She then completed a colon and rectal surgery residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
Krista is a member of the Association for Academic Surgery, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is board certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery and has been a practicing colon and rectal surgeon since 2019 at the University of Florida where she is a member of the NAPRC accredited rectal cancer program and a part of the IBD Team. Krista is engaged in research on cancer immunotherapy and in VR modeling for surgical planning.
